New photos have been revealed as Eccles coffee bar Malaga Drift successfully relaunches following an investment from new owners.
Two weeks ago, Salford Now reported that the bar had closed to allow new investors to begin refurbishment. Since then, they have seen an increase in customers following a successful launch party.
The bar had been struggling for customers in recent years and the new owners hoped that a fresh investment and a new look would bring new life to the Eccles bar.
Andrew Wallace, 44, from Salford, said: “Since the relaunch, we have seen a lot of new faces, people who have never been in before.
“We hosted our first open mic night and it was a huge success. We had a bar full of budding musicians.
“I’ve never seen so many excellent performers in one place before.”
The refurbishment brought a new decor for the bar, including new sofas and furniture, as well as a top-range darts setup for budding and experienced players looking to take advantage of.
Found on the corner of Church St, Eccles, Malaga Drift aims to be a inclusive and diverse place for the community.
Wallace claims: “The environment has been so warm and comfortable. No one is out of place with us. It’s something Eccles is short of.”
They hope to see continued success in the coming weeks after being closed for six days with the new refurbishments taking place.
Malaga Drift hope to upkeep their new thriving community through their dedication to a “unique” menu and their stance on inclusivity.
