The Salford-based social housing company, Pendleton Together, has donated “bags full of items” to foodbanks and charities this Christmas.
The company set up donation stations in each of the four main offices it occupies. Staff were invited to donate a variety of food, toiletries and festive goods for local foodbanks and charities.
Within four-weeks, each donation station was “filled to the brim.”
Colleagues based in Salford were also given the opportunity to donate to the local foodbank, Manchester Mission.
Barry Matley from Manchester Mission said: “We are so grateful for such an amazing donation. The team at Pendleton Together have gone well above and beyond, it’s absolutely outstanding.
“That goes for the Pendleton Together team too who we work closely with; Lynne, Sarah and Christine who come alongside us to set up and run the Food club each Wednesday. They are a fantastic group.”
Bags full of food and essential items were donated to the charity this month.
Ian Clark, Executive Director of Business Improvement for Together Housing Group said: “We’re so pleased to have been able to support Manchester Mission this month with our donations.
“Our already long-standing relation with the charity meant it was a no brainer for us to set this up. When we asked colleagues to give what they could to support, we knew we did so in trying times.
“But that donation box filled up little by little and thanks to our teams who gave what they could, we proudly donated bags full of items to the foodbank. We’re extremely proud of the support our teams have shown and hope the items make even a small amount of difference to families and households who need it the most.”
