Salford Red Devils have added depth to their squad ahead of the 2024 season, signing Chris Hankinson until 2026.
The 30-year old becomes the seventh arrival at the AJ Bell this season, and the first since the unexpected loss of Ken Sio.
The Samoan left the Reds after being released on compassionate grounds.

Hankinson returns to the club where he started his rugby life, but the centre never played a game for the team, moving to Leigh to begin his professional career.
He has been a journeyman in his career, appearing for Barrow, Swinton, London Broncos, Toulouse, Featherstone and Wigan Warriors.
Hankinson departed Featherstone last week, with the Yorkshire club stating they had reached a “mutual agreement to pursue other opportunities.”
Featherstone failed in their bid for promotion to the Super League last season, losing in the play-off semi-final to London Broncos.

Salford Red Devils head coach Paul Rowley said of the transfer: “The group and I are delighted to welcome Chris to Salford.
“He is a very accomplished player who, in my opinion, epitomises dedication and perseverance to being the best he can be. Chris is the type of player we want in our environment; versatile, a great character and the ultimate professional.”
Speaking to the club upon his transfer, Hankinson said: “It has kind of been a full circle, for me. It’s been just short of ten years since I left and now I’m back, but it feels right, a bit of unfinished business.”
Salford kick-off their Super League season in 70 days time, when they travel to Headingley to face the Leeds Rhinos.
