The multimillionaire tech entrepreneur Lawrence Jones has been sentenced to 15 years in jail today for committing two rapes and a sexual assault.
Last month, The UKFast founder was found guilty of drugging and raping two women at his flat in Salford in the 1990s.
The 55-year-old had denied attacking the two victims in separate incidents at his flat in Salford.
In 2021 and 2022, the women, who did not know each other, made separate allegations of rape against Jones now of Brooks Drive, Hale Barns.
One complainant described being given something to sniff which had an “immediate impact” on her, while the other described being overly affected by a glass of wine and a few puffs of what she believed was cannabis.
He was also found guilty of sexually assaulting another woman on a business trip in the early 2010s. Jones was convicted for the sexual assault in January this year.
Detective Constable Stewart of Greater Manchester Police said: “Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the remarkably courageous women who stepped forward to share the harrowing experiences they endured at the hands of Jones.
“Their bravery and strength have been instrumental in holding Lawrence Jones accountable for his heinous actions. We express our sincere thanks for their immense bravery throughout this challenging investigation and trial.”
For the rape of ‘Woman A’ he was sentenced to a 14 year imprisonment and for the rape of ‘Woman B’ he was sentenced to seven years imprisonment to run concurrently.
For the sexual assault of ‘Woman C’ he was sentenced to one year imprisonment which is also to run consecutively.
