Salford Lads’ Club will be hosting a Christmas open day on Saturday December 2 in order to welcome visitors with festive cheer.
The doors will open at 11am with a series of events happening throughout the day for guests to enjoy until 4pm, as well as gifts to buy.
Jodie Subachus’ 84-year-old father Bernie Shaw was a previous member at Salford Lads’ Club, and his family is planning to attend.
Jodie, who lives away now, said: “My dad was a member there when he was a young boy, so I thought it would be nice for my sisters to take him to the upcoming event.
“I was born and bred in Manchester, but my dad was born and lived in Salford.”
Partington’s Pots, The Neighbourhood Threat and Mons Calpe Concept and Lifestyle will be among the companies attending.
There will also be the club’s own Amber and her Salford honey available to purchase.
Visitors will be able to meet the New Barracks Cooperative, as well as enjoy a range of mulled drinks, mince pies, and even a tour of the iconic building, with several touches of Christmas spirit throughout the building.
The club is a recreational club in Ordsall, and was established in 1903 as a boys’ club, however today it welcomes all, and frequently organises activities which include exhibitions and sports.
