Salford Red Devils have continued to strengthen ahead of the 2024 Super League season with the signing of Joe Shorrocks.
Shorrocks joins from reigning champions Wigan Warriors, playing 15 games in their title-winning campaign, but did not feature in their Grand Final triumph over Catalans Dragons.
He signs with the club on a three-year deal and has immediately joined the club’s pre-season training camp.
The 23-year-old was born in Wigan and appeared 72 times for his hometown club, as well as loan spells at London Skolars and Leigh Leopards. He primarily plays as a loose forward but can play across the front line.
Shorrocks becomes the sixth name to join the Reds in this off-season, as Paul Rowley’s side looks to reclaim a place in the top six despite all the off-field dramas surrounding the club.

Speaking to the club upon his signing, he said: “I am made up to be joining the club.
“Ever since I spoke to Paul (Rowley) and Ian (Blease) about coming to play for Salford, it is something that has excited me, and it is a move that I think is best for me at this stage in my career.
“I spoke to a few of the lads that I know there already and they have had nothing but positive things to say about the club, so I’m really happy to be joining!”
Head Coach Paul Rowley is “delighted” to welcome the forward to the AJ Bell Stadium, adding: “I have enjoyed watching Joe’s progress over the last couple of years and respected his work ethic, and ability. After speaking with Joe, it was clear that his character and ambition are first-class, and a perfect fit for our team.
“We are all looking forward to working alongside Joe and look forward to him pulling on the Salford jersey!”
Shorrocks joins Nene Macdonald, Ethan Ryan, Cade Cust, Matty Foster and Kai Morgan as new faces at the club.
Andy Ackers, Brodie Croft, Danny Addy, Rhys Williams, Matty Costello and James Greenwood have all departed Salford following the end of the 2023 season.
