A Salford mobile hairdresser is offering free haircuts for women who have suffered from domestic abuse.
Vick, who owns Flossy Glossy Hair, says she was inspired to to give back to others and provide love to those who need to feel cared for.
Women who are struggling and are currently in shelters can apply for their free haircut through Salford Foundation and Manchester Women’s Aid.
28-year-old Vick, who has a three-year-old daughter, said: “I’ve recently been going through a lot in my life and reflecting on a lot of stuff and noticing that most of us don’t have much and the last thing we think about is our hair.
“I have had a friend who has gone through stuff in her life which made me think, just to give love back out there because I think this day and age we don’t have much love.”
She added: “So I definitely want to give back and show these people that they are cared for. I just think everyone should give back a little something.”
Not only is Vick working with shelters to provide haircuts for as many woman as possible, she will also be doing one-on-one sessions with women who have suffered from domestic abuse.
Vick hopes to work with more charities so she can make women across Salford and Manchester feel special again and boost their confidence.
