Brew & Bee café opened on October 14 on Walkden Road and welcomed all locals to enjoy their variety of food created by qualified chef Adam Leyland-Simpson using local produce.
Adam has been working in the food industry for many years, including Michelin star restaurants and decided to open the café as he said: “It was always a dream of mine to open my own place.”
The idea for the café began when he realised there was a need for a place like Brew & Bee in the middle of Walkden road.
The business that was in place before wasn’t really working for the area and once he announced he was going to turn it into a café the local people of Walkden said to him: “It was just what we needed.”
The food at the café is made with local produce and quality ingredients, with the dishes Adam creates combining gourmet food experience with typical comforting café food.
What makes the café special is Adam’s experience in the food industry, as he said: “Everyone can cook but not everyone can be a chef, because being a chef is like being an artist, they have a passion.”
The café has a variety of food including barms, wraps, bruschetta, Buddha bowls and other classic breakfasts as well as lunches. It also has a range of cold and hot drinks including coffee, tea and juices.
As it has just recently opened Adam is happy to hear the voices of local people and what they would like and he said: “I’m more than happy to hear suggestions to keep improving and growing with time.”
There are also various lunch deals and seasonal items such as Pumpkin Spice lattes for autumn and as we are getting closer to Christmas times there are also going to be special Christmas deals and offers in December.
The café is open from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday until 2:00 p.m. for breakfast and lunch, located on 270 Walkden Road, M28 7FG.
