Salford detectives are investigating a confirmed firearms discharge where a man was shot and sent to hospital on Sunday October 29.
The police are currently appealing for witnesses, with officers being called at 2:50am to an event at Un.titled Studio on Astor Road.
The victim went outside the Weaste venue before being shot. The injuries are believed not to be life threatening at this time.
Detective Sergeant Karl Perry of GMP Salford District said: “Firstly, we would like to reassure the public that the victim of this incident is being taken care of by medical professionals.”
With concerns about the danger of firearms in the community, Detective Sergeant Perry added: “This incident will clearly be a shock to the local community who live and work nearby, and we are doing everything we can to ensure the victim receives justice.”
Detective Perry continued: “This is being treated as an isolated incident and there are a number of extra uniformed patrols in place around the local community and they will remain there over the coming days to provide visible reassurance.
