BBC Interior Design Masters winner Lynsey Ford has agreed to interior design the development of 160 new homes on Worrall Street in Salford.
The homes will be positioned as part of the Ordsall Waterfront regeneration corridor which stretches all the way from Salford Quays to Regent Road.
Housing provider Plumlife Homes has already started works on the development and claims that these houses will be made affordable “through shared ownership and rent to buy” schemes.
Lynsey Ford, who has worked in architecture and construction for the past 20 years, admitted that this “affordable” development is very important to her.
Lynsey added: “At the heart of our approach will be a focus on demonstrating that beautiful design can also be affordable.
“Me and my team can’t wait to show off how these homes could offer inspiring living spaces on a smaller budget.”
Suzy Hollins, Head of Sales and Marketing at Plumlife Homes, said: “Lynsey Ford’s thought-out and unique approach to design will help us create practical, creative and captivating spaces.
“We strongly believe that everyone deserves a chance to get onto the property ladder and live in a stylish space that continues to inspire them.”
The new homes are due to be ready by March 2025.
