Seven Brothers brewery has signed a local Salford band to play at their new venue due to open at the end of October.
Café Soul Collective (CSC) is to become the new house band at 11 Central, Seven Brothers new bar in Media City.
Toni, event manager for Seven Brothers, said: “They’re just really entertaining to watch. A great mix of fantastic technical ability and crowd-pleasing songs. They’re all really nice, really professional and customers always give great feedback when they play.”
She heard about CSC through one of their employees, Chloe Frisby, who knows the band from previously gigging with them. Chloe says she recommended the band: “because the energy they give off is second to none. They are consistent and never fail to impress.”
While they become the house band at 11 Central, Toni plans on asking them to play at all of their venues. They’ve already played the opening to Box on the Docks Liverpool.
Café Soul Collective said: “We are really excited and optimistic about signing with Seven Brothers. Each gig we’ve done there tends to go off, so it’ll be mint having a residency there.”
The band was formed just after Covid and consists of members from a collective of three different bands, hence the name. They noticed they worked well together after having a jam at an open mic hosted at Why Not Café? in Worsley.
They have also played as a wedding band and previously held a residency at Rendition in Manchester, owned by footballer Juan Mata.
Café Soul Collective commented: “Having this weekly residency means we will start bringing more song writing ideas to each other as we are looking to start bringing out our own music potentially sometime next year.
“The music we play at our gigs are party bangers and big singalongs that everyone knows but done Café Soul style which is blues/ soul and maybe a bit of rock ‘n’ roll.”
