The region’s longest running spoken word event is set to return to it’s Salford stage after a summer break.
Verbose is set to return to The Kings Arms on Monday 18 September, with a line-up which includes Cherrelle Anne, and Rap artist Lence.
With a catalogue of performers who have gone on to win local, national and international awards for their work or feature on national radio, Verbose gives audiences the chance to hear work that is on it’s way to be published or feature at festivals including Glastonbury and Edinburgh Fringe.
Cherrelle Anne is a spoken word artist who has been writing for more than 20 years before starting performing in 2022, and making an impression with her captivating style.
Her work speaks to the human condition and is centred around her own experiences of motherhood, mental health, love and relationships.
Lence is a Rap & Spoken Word artist based in Leeds who has been writing and performing over the past 10 years and we are delighted to bring him to Manchester. His creative work reflects his own personal experiences and he first started writing when he was a teenager living in care and still in school.
Tickets are pay what you can and can be purchased from The Kings Arms’ website.
