Salford brewing company Seven Brothers is opening a new bar and microbrewery, dubbed ‘11 Central’, as part of the £3.5m Central Bay site in Salford Quays due to open in September.
The venue will be offering up food, live music, bar games and limited-edition beer produced onsite at the state-of-the-art Microbrewery.
As well as artisan beers and microbrews, the Four Sisters distillery will also be offering its range of award-winning flavoured gins. With the added possibility of attending one of their own distilling sessions for gin enthusiasts.
The CEO of the Seven Brothers Brewing Co, Keith McAvoy, said: “It’s an exciting time for us as we take our bar offering to a new level and create a diverse, theatre-led experience. To date we have had great success in the beerhouse space, 11 Central gives us the opportunity to build an entertainment hub for the quays – the chance to work on a brand-new concept.”
The 25,000sq foot Central Bay site will be the biggest independent food and drink operations in the North hosting live music events, culinary experiences and a recreation space for children.
The managing director for MediaCity, Stephen Wild, said: “Central Bay is a major project for us, and we are putting everything we can into it, to give the local and wider Greater Manchester community a leading food and drink destination just a walk or short tram ride away.
“Having the 11 Central team on board is an absolute pleasure; we’ve watched them grow exponentially since setting up their first brewery down the road, to now having two different bars on MediaCity grounds. 11 Central at Central Bay will make a huge positive impact on MediaCity and our current and future residents – making it the place to work, live and visit.”
Founded in 2014, the McAvoy brothers founded the first Seven Brothers brewery after finding inspiration from their father’s home brewing. Four years later, the McAvoy sisters launched the Four Sisters distillery making them the largest family in the alcohol industry.
