Shoppers have shared their horror after a huge leak flooded a Salford supermarket following a spell of torrential rain.
The flood happened at Regent Road Sainsbury’s yesterday afternoon (June 25) at around 4pm, when water began gushing from a wall, soaking the floor and surrounding fridges.
Former Labour Councillor for Walkden South ward, Richard Critchley, shared footage of the incident on Twitter, where shoppers can be seen narrowly avoiding the downfall.

The rain follows days of flash floods across Greater Manchester, with a MetOffice yellow warning in place.
Costco in Trafford and Manchester’s Market Street have also experienced severe flooding over the weekend.
