Salfordians have been urged to remain vigilant and ensure properties are fully secured after a string of burglaries throughout the area.
The warning comes from Salford GMP, who took to social media yesterday (Tuesday 23 May) to share awareness of “suspicious activity” in the city.
Residents were asked to “regularly” check homes in both the morning and the evening for “signs of disturbances”, as well as ensuring all doors and windows were locked when not in.
The post also recommended securing access to the rear of properties by using padlocks on gates.
Police ensured there would be an increase in high-visibility patrols throughout Salford, and information leaflets delivered on improving security.
Residents are also encouraged to report suspicious activity “day or night” via in-person patrols, or 101 or 999 but also anonymously on Crime Stoppers.
