A three-time World Champion snooker player is set to run an exhibition at Patricroft Conservative Club, with the opportunity to play a series of matches for attendees.

Current world number eight, Mark J Williams MBE comes to the club on Friday 7 July for the exclusive event.

With only 100 tickets available for the evening, a raffle ticket system will allow a select number of fans an opportunity to play a series of frames against the champion.

There are also eight frames available to purchase for £50.

The 48-year-old player, nicknamed “The Welsh Potting Machine”, turned professional in 1992 and has been ranked the world number one player three times (1999–00, 2000–01 and 2002–03). He has compiled more than 500 century breaks in his career.

Tickets will be available from the club from this weekend. Message the club via Facebook for more details.
