A new bus shuttle service running from across the city to RHS Bridgewater for discounted rates commences this weekend.
The Bridgewater shuttle service is set to operate from this Saturday 1 April and run throughout the summer months until October.
Stopping at Manchester Piccadilly, Salford Crescent and Walkden train station, the shuttle will drop commuters right outside the Bridgewater Welcome Building.
In the mornings there will be two in-bound services to the gardens, and two out-bound services to Manchester Piccadilly in the afternoons.
To RHS Garden Bridgewater – Monday to Saturday
- Manchester Picadilly Station departs: 9.35am, 11.35am
- Salford Crescent departs: 9.51am, 11.51am
- Walkden Station departs: 10.20am, 12.20pm
- RHS Garden Bridgewater arrives: 10.30am, 12.30pm
To Bridgewater – Sunday
- Manchester Picadilly Station departs: 9.20am, 11.20am
- Salford Crescent departs: 9.35am, 11.35am
- Walkden Station departs: 9.57am, 11.57am
- RHS Garden Bridgewater arrives: 10.05am, 12.05pm
To Manchester Picadilly Station – Monday to Saturday
- RHS Garden Bridgewater departs: 2.35pm, 4.45pm (4.35pm on Sat)
- Walkden Station arrives: 2.47pm, 4.59pm (4.47pm on Sat)
- Salford Crescent arrives: 3.07pm, 5.23pm (5.07pm on Sat)
- Manchester Picadilly Station arrives: 3.23pm, 5.41pm (5.23pm on Sat)
To Manchester Picadilly Station – Sunday
- RHS Garden Bridgewater departs: 2.20pm, 4.20pm
- Walkden Station arrives: 2.30pm, 4.30pm
- Salford Crescent arrives: 2.48pm, 4.48pm
- Manchester Picadilly Station arrives: 3.03pm, 5.03pm
Fares begin at £1 for children and £2 for adults, and an extra 30% off if you travel to the garden car-free. Tickets can be purchased either online, or on-board.
Busses are wheelchair accessible, with buggies requested to be folded down and stored in the wheelchair space on the bus if they are not in use
The service will be operated by Diamond North West and supported by Transport for Greater Manchester (TFGM) and South East Lancashire CRP.
