First year Pendleton student lands Corrie role only months after sponsorship

A first year Pendleton student has scooped a top role in Coronation Street, only months after gaining formal sponsorship.

Pendleton School of Theatre’s Luana Santos was announced as Corrie’s newest face, via the school’s Instagram this morning (Thursday 30 March).

Santos lands the role after gaining special sponsorship representation through the Acting Department with Scream Management Talent Agency only a few months ago.

This will be the young actress’ first casting, and will see her join the theatre school’s alumni Mollie Gallagher, Maximus Evans, Twana Omer and Faye Brooks on screen.

Santos begins filming in over Easter. Via the Instagram post, she said: “I’m so grateful to have been given this opportunity that was gifted to me through Pendleton who have helped me grow my confidence and my acting skills!”
