Tours of the Coronation Street set are offering visitors exclusive peeks at iconic costumes and props used by women throughout the show’s history.
In honour of Women’s History Month, select tour dates have been set up to view iconic costumes and props worn by some of the show’s most celebrated protagonists past and present including Tracy Barlow and Mary Taylor.
Visitors will be encouraged to guess which iconic characters wore each outfit for the chance to win a mystery prize.
Created by Tony Warren who based some of the legendary characters on the strong, matriarchal women he grew up with, the show has followed the trials, tribulations and northern ‘grit’ of female characters including national treasures such as Bet Lynch, Gail Platt and Rita Sullivan.
The 90-minute immersive experience also allows visitors to pop to Rover Return, Roys Rolls, Underworld and The Kabin.
The tours to celebrate Women’s History month are available to book on 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th March. Tickets are available for £28 for adults and £25.50 for children.
Tours can be booked here.
