Kick-off time for the fixture is also set to be brought forward to 12:30pm from 15:00pm to accommodate the selection, as 15:00pm club kick-offs in the UK are not allowed to be broadcast on TV.
This fixture marks a return for Northampton after Salford defeated them 1-0 at the Sixfields Stadium, with Ethan Galbraith bagging the winner just before half-time in a tightly contested fixture.
Salford will have a tough task on their hands in front of the cameras in spite of their prior victory as Northampton currently sit in third in League Two, with the side five points clear of Barrow in the automatic promotion places.
Salford recently notched up their third win in five games with a dominant 3-0 win over second-from-bottom Gillingham, leaving them just two points off of the play-off places.
Theo Vassell, Ryan Watson and scotsman Callum Hendry ended the woeful run for the Ammies in that game and set them up strongly going into the festive season.
Tickets for the Northampton fixture are set to go on sale on the 19th of December and can be purchased online and via the ticket office at the Peninsula Stadium.
Admission for adults will be £15, £10 for concessions and £5 for under-16s. Five year olds and under will be able to enter for free alongside a full-paying adult.
