Salford City will be hoping to bounce back tonight against bottom of the table Hartlepool United, following their weekend defeat to local rivals Stockport County.
The reds take the long trip to the North east, with the game kicking off at 7:45PM.
The Ammies, who are into their fourth season in the Football League, will be aiming for some consistency within their results as they hope to get promoted this season.
Despite being eighth in the table, they are yet to win three in a row all season, which is something that will need to change if they want to push for the play-off spaces.
As for Hartlepool, they are finding life back in the Football League difficult, having lost their last four in all competitions, including an embarrassing 6-0 defeat to Everton U21’s, in the Papa John’s Trophy.
However, seven of the Pools’ nine points have come at the Suit Direct Stadium, which could make for an interesting game with Salford winning four out of their last five away matches.
Team News
Salford will be hoping to welcome back Michael Lund and Odin Bailey, at least to the squad, after they were left out on the weekend due to a lack of fitness.
The definitive absentees for Salford include; Jason Lowe, Stephen Mallan, Conor McAleny and Richard Nartey, who will hope to be fit in the coming weeks.
As for the home side, the situation is no better, as they are expected to be without John Sterry, Rollin Meneyese, Mark Shelton, Mouhamed Niang, Joe Grey and Jack Hamilton.
