Salford’s Eagle Inn will host a launch party for musician Granfaloon’s new album Calendar this Friday.
The album is the first in a three-part series of albums to be released by Richard Lomax, the songwriter and creative force behind Granfaloon.
Mr Lomax discussed his love for the Eagle Inn. He said: “I’ve played at the Eagle a few times, I love the Eagle! In fact, it’s one of my favourite sounding venues in all of Greater Manchester.
“It’s the sort of room that, through its quirks of acoustics and old architecture, everything sounds incredible even before you turn the microphones on. If I had my way I’d record a whole album in there! Maybe the next one?”
The show at the Eagle Inn is one of the final shows of Granfaloon’s recent UK tour, Richard continued: “We’ve just toured the album, our album launch at the Eagle Inn is one of the final shows of the tour.
“We did shows in London, Liverpool, Bristol, Cardiff and many other cities in the UK. This show in Salford is ‘The Big One’ though.”
