The Lowry is set to host classes for young people interested in developing skills in contemporary dance.
The classes aim to teach students between the ages of 10-17 the basics of contemporary dance.
No prior experience is necessary and classes are also open for those who already have foundation knowledge. Sessions will be delivered by Lowry CAT (Centre for Advanced Training), a part-time course aiming to give young people across the North West access to high quality dance training.
Participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing to allow for easy movement, with tracksuits, joggers, t-shirt, leggings, or leotard being preferred. There are no requirements for footwear as classes will be held barefoot. It is also recommended for students to bring their own water bottle.
Lowry CAT aim to deliver excellent and inclusive teaching within the sessions, hoping to inspire young people to develop an interest and passion for contemporary dance.
The hour-long classes begin this Thursday at 4.45 and are running on the same day every week until November 17th.
Tickets cost £3 and are available to purchase here.
