‘Please let me get what I want’ is the new play being performed at Salford’s only independent theatre company.
The play is set against the backdrop of Salford and is the outcome of what started as a hobby and has progressed into a career for Libby Hall.
Salford Arts Theatre is hosting the show which will be open to the public from Thursday 6th October to Saturday 8th October.
The two-man production will be performed by actors Vincent Purcell, 19, and Joel Hill, 17, who have both previously worked together at the young performer’s company together at Salford Arts theatre.
Vincent Purcell said: “We’ve been working very hard the past week to make sure everything is working seamlessly.”
Playing the character of Zach Johnson, Purcell describes his character as ‘an odd one who is all over the place with his emotions.’
Taking inspiration from those around him, he added: “The way he acts I kind of got from people I know and people local to Salford.”

Libby Hall, 21, is the writer of the play who takes her inspiration from people and places in Salford.
She said of the play: “The main themes are friendship, ambition, morality and how the three can kind of feed into each other.
“I’m always inspired by the things around me when I’m writing. Usually, things I’ve heard or pieces of dialogue that someone I know has actually said and the actors are both from Salford themselves, it’s defiantly a Salford piece.”
Encouraging people to buy tickets and watch, Libby said: “We are a small venue in the heart of Salford, it’s about Salford. Just get behind your local theatre.
“They are great actors so their performances are defiantly worth coming for.”
