Swinton Lions will host a Rugby League World Cup warm-up match at Heywood Road Stadium between Wales and Lebanon on 8th October.
The game, which is a 3:00pm kick-off, is the perfect opportunity for both sides to prepare for the tournament.
Wales are aiming to make it out of a tough group, which includes Cook Islands, Papua New Guinea and Tonga whereas Lebanon will be hoping to improve on their quarter-final appearance in 2017.
Swintons’ second-row forward Rhodri Lloyd and teammate Mike Butt will likely feature for Wales as they aim to make an impact for their national team this winter. This will be Lloyd’s third appearance at the World Cup whereas Butt is set for a debut if he is selected. Both players spoke ahead of the fixture:
