As the month of the Queen’s Jubilee celebration is fast approaching, there is a selection of planned events so as to mark the celebration.
The Jubilee celebration is a way of commemorating the fact that Her Majesty, The Queen became the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee on the 6th of February, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom.
The Jubilee weekend starts on Thursday the 2nd and ends on Sunday the 5th of June.
Jubilee Events
In order to ensure that you and your family members have a fun time this coming jubilee weekend, here are some events that you may like to go to.
The first event is the Regally Royal tea party which will be happening on the 2nd of June at Buile Hill Mansion. This event is a community picnic for all to attend and there would be free food for those who may be struggling financially.
The next one is the Family Funday on the 3rd of June, at the Walkden cricket club. Money donated at the gate as the entry fee for this event would be used to buy a defibrillator for the cricket club.
Jubilee Street Party on the 3rd of June can be another option. This event is a street party where a couple of DJs and bands from Manchester would perform at the Refuge Terrace. There would be an array of food and cocktails included with the tickets attendees will buy. In addition, there would also be a showcase of different up and coming talent alongside established musicians from Manchester. For tickets and more information, go to this website.
Together with Music- Thank you day and Jubilee Celebration is happening on the 5th of June. The event would be held at The Yard Manchester and there will be performances from musicians, songwriting workshops, music therapy training and many more. This event is free, however, you would need to register through this link in order to get a ticket.
