Vegan Market Co is coming to Salford’s Greengate Square for the first time on Saturday 7th May.
Lewis Beresford, VMCO’s Founder says; “We are so excited to be in Salford for the first time.
“We work hard to find the country’s leading vegan producers, from street food vendors and bakers to ethical clothing and cosmetic producers.
“We also work with many local businesses and can’t wait to give all of these fantastic producers the platform they deserve and introduce them to the wonderful people of Salford!”
The event will feature a variety of ethically sourced vegan street food, artisan bakes, craft cheeses, handmade cosmetics, clothing & jewellery, arts & crafts, and charity stalls.
Vegan Market Co ran their first event in Cambridge in 2016, and has since hosted events in over 40 locations across the UK.
Recent locations the market has been hosted include Lancaster, Sheffield and Leeds.
They state it is their mission “to make veganism accessible and inclusive” and are also “proud to be tackling the climate crisis by promoting sustainable lifestyle choices and supporting tree planting and conservation projects around the world.
A tree is also planted for every business that takes part in a Vegan Market Co event, meaning around 40 trees are planted in parts of the world that need them for every event.
You can view Vegan Market Co’s company forest on their Ecologi page, and see the impact their tree planting has had so far.
The event is open to the public, and Vegan Market Co encourages anyone that can to attend – whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just curious, everyone is welcome!
