Rugby League World Cup trophies on display at Salford Selco on Friday
The Rugby League World Cup 2021 men’s, women’s and wheelchair trophies will be on display at the Selco builder’s warehouse between 9am and 10am on Friday.
Salford Branch of Selco is located on North Phoebe Street, are partners of both the Rugby League World Cup and Salford Red Devils.
The trophies will be visiting Salford schools throughout the day before going on display at the AJ Bell stadium, when the Red Devils play Leeds Rhinos at 8pm.

A 90m long ‘green boulevard in the sky’ is part of a 240-acre, £2.5 billion Crescent regeneration project, which begin construction in Summer 2022 at Fredrick Road.
The project, named Salford Rise, will ‘create up to 7,000 new jobs, with more than £90m expected to be reinvested into local communities, through new revenue from business rates realised on completion of the scheme’.
In a statement released by Muse Developments they said: “Salford Rise will be the catalyst that will unlock the ambition for the Crescent Innovation area of the masterplan.”

Labour names Worsley and Eccles MP @KeeleyMP as new Shadow Minister for Arts and Civil Society.
Keeley has been the MP for Worsley and Eccles South since May 2005 and is a former charity consultant.
The vacancy for Shadow Minister has been open for three months, following Rachael Maskell’s resignation in December. Rachael resigned from the role so she was able vote against laws requiring NHS staff to be vaccinated.
Keeley tweeted saying she is “delighted to be appointed Labour’s Shadow Minister for the Arts and Civil Society”.

“Our door is open to any women, especially those where English isn’t their first language and those who struggle with childcare.”- Women with Wings celebrates 5 years helping women
Charity organisation Women with Wings have celebrated 5 years of helping local women this week.
In tandem with international women’s day and 5 years after the founding of the charity organisation Women with Wings, CEO Jasmine Bakhre organised an event to celebrate and support women in the community.
Women with wings were set up in 2017, based in Little Hulton, and its aim to help women, specifically those from ethnic backgrounds where English is not their first language, to get into career training, employment, and self-employment.
