Salford will host Toulouse in their opening home game of 2022 on Sunday in what will be the first Super League meeting between the two sides.
The Red Devils enjoyed a great start to the season with a 26-16 victory away to Castleford courtesy of tries from Ken Sio, prop Vuniyayawa and Deon Cross.
Contrastingly, Toulouse endured a 14-42 thrashing at the hands of Huddersfield Giants on their top-flight debut despite scores from Russell, Bergal and Armitage. This damaging result will leave Sylvain Houles’ men keen to produce better rugby against Salford.

Following the weekend victory, Salford head coach Paul Rowley said: “We have to be that team that’s at our best all season.”
Joe Burgess and Marc Sneyd have been named in round one’s team of the week following their influential performances on Friday. Rowley and the team will hope for more of the same from the experienced duo as the side looks to make it two wins from two.
