Chapel street Italian restaurant Vero Moderno had a visit from three Manchester City first-team players this week.
Aymeric Laporte, Ferran Torres and Rodri popped into the Salford eatery and took a picture with owner Beppe.
It’s fair to say that Laporte and Rodri earned their treat after featuring in Manchester City’s 7-0 demolition of Leeds United on Tuesday night.
Owner Beppe Piccoli said: “It’s not the first time that they came in, we have a lot of regulars at the restaurant who are players and coaches of Manchester City.
“For me, it is very good for the business as famous people help to put the reputation of the restaurant a lot.
“We treat them just as we would any other customers, obviously when they come along it is great for the visibility of the restaurant but in reality, they are treated the same as any guest at Vero Moderno.”
After struggling through covid lockdowns, Vero Moderno is back to their pre-lockdown levels of business and for the first time during December, the restaurant is being fully booked again.
The restaurant is rated second on TripAdvisor for Salford and hasn’t received a rating lower than five stars since February.
The restaurant is currently taking bookings for tables for New Year’s Eve. The restaurant recently announced that it has a local DJ booked until the early morning on New Years Day.
Rapidly increasing omicron case numbers are casting some doubt on Christmas parties. The government’s chief medical officer, Chris Whitty has recently told the public to only attend parties if “they really matter to them.”
Due to the evolving situation with the pandemic, Beppe was unable to comment on whether there would be any changes to his plans for the festive period.
As things stand, Vero Moderno will be open as usual and if there are any changes to this, they will be announced through the restaurants Social Media pages which can be found down below.
