A briefing in Walkden Town Centre at 12:15pm will be followed by another one at The Lowry at 2:15pm.
Operation Avro is intended to be a highly visible, monthly operation that targets the crimes that the people of Greater Manchester are most concerned about.
The briefings are taking place in public to demonstrate that the police are trying to make this operation as visible to the public as they can.
The Salford branch of the Greater Manchester Police have posted lots of information about the upcoming operation.
They claim it “will actively target criminals and bring them to justice.”
GMP have urged people to register any crime-related issues that they may have.
