A Salford police officer was due to appear in court today on 11 charges of child sex offences.
GMP Detective Constable Lee Cunliffe, 40, and based in Salford, faces 11 charges.
They include two counts of attempting to arrange the commission of a child sex offence;
possession of an indecent image of a child;
three counts of making an indecent image of a child;
distributing an indecent image of a child;
two counts of misconduct in a public office;
and two counts of perverting the course of public justice.
The officer was arrested in Tuesday 15th December 2020 and has been suspended from duty since that date.
He was bailed to appear before Manchester Magistrates Court today, October 26.
