The critically acclaimed C-O-N-T-A-C-T show will now have a six-week run from 18 May 2021 after Covid restrictions caused January dates to be postponed.
‘C-O-N-T-A-C-T’ is an outdoor immersive 3D experience that is holding shows in Salford Quays and Central Manchester this Spring.
The show was originally set to run in January, but after the country was placed back into a national lockdown production was forced to be postponed.
Aria Entertainment and WEF Productions have joined forces for the event and the shows will take place from 18 May to 29 June for a six-week run.
It follows the thoughts of a young woman sat alone on a park bench. Audience members share the thoughts, feelings, and sensations of the performers as they watch the performance.
In a unique way of delivering theatre, audience members will download an app that delivers the 3D audio design, whilst following a path with the performers.
Producer of the show, Katy Lipson, told Musical Theatre Review: “We’ve been partnering with the Lowry to open with them in Salford and Manchester.
“That’s my hometown, so its lovely to take this home”.
This different take on theatre performance adheres perfectly to Covid regulations so that all people are able to enjoy it.
Each performance runs for 50 minutes and audience members are required to bring their own smartphone and headphones for the event.
Limited spaces are available, and you can buy tickets here.
