A new Eccles family-run café has found its feet despite enduring a global pandemic.
The new family-run business, Nineteen cafe opened its doors to tier 3 service on November 30 on Eccles New Road, not far from Salford Gems, MediaCity and Salford Quays.
Demi Graves said: “We couldn’t believe it, because of the situation that’s going on we didn’t think it would do well.
“The community in the area have come together, there’s been a lot of word of mouth and had lots of recommendations.”
The Kersal family have been on the hunt for potential café properties for over a year.
It was Autumn when they stumbled across their dream café plot in Eccles.
But, the owner, Patrick Doyle was advised against the idea.
Demi Graves said, “They did say to him ( Patrick Doyle) it would be suitable for a cafe.
“But, he saw the potential it could have and he knew there was nothing like this in the area.”

Unfortunately, Nineteen Cafe will join many businesses in Greater Manchester tied to the tier 3 restrictions. This means local businesses must resort to takeaways and the “Click and Collect” service.
