Rotarians are challenging Worsley youngsters to brighten up their community by creating pictures and putting them in their windows.
The Rotary Club in Worsley had created a Christmas-themed art competition to run weekly until December 20.
The competition is encouraging all children aged 3 to 11 to join in and display their work of art in their windows at home.
Entries must be original but can be made using paint, pastels, crayons, pencils, collage or a mixture. The work may be realistic, abstract or a pattern.
The organisers stateL
“There are only three rules to remember:
It must be all your, original work
You must title your artwork – Rotary in Worsley Christmas Art Competition
You must display your artwork in a window at the front of your house, facing outward.”
The competition is split into three categories: 3-5-year olds, 6-8-year olds, and 9-11-year olds.
For each entry, a photograph of the artwork taken from outside the house must be emailed to @artcomp@worsleyrotary.co.uk with the entrant’s name, age, and address, then left on display in the window.
Each entry submitted by midnight on Sunday every week will be reviewed and judged by Tuesday by independent judges and published on the Rotary for Worsley Facebook page each Wednesday.
A £10 gift card will be awarded in each category, every week.
