Salford Red Devils have signed Harvey Livett ahead of the start of the 2021 season.
The 23-year-old back-rower joins along with new coach Richard Marshall before the new season.
The pair of them worked together at Warrington Wolves and have now both made the switch to the Red Devils.
The news follows the recent announcement of Danny Orr as the team’s new assistant coach.
Livett is a player with great potential, having scored 17 tries in his 47 appearances for the Wolves, an impressive statistic for someone of his age.
Speaking to the Red Devils website, Livett says he can’t wait to get started and is looking forward to working with his old coach again.
He said: “I’m looking forward to getting into the pre-season and then proving what I can do on the pitch.
“Speaking to a few of the boys who I know here, this is a great place to be and next year’s going to be a big year for us.
“I worked with Rich before, when I was coming through at Warrington, so I know what he’s about. He’s a good coach and I’m looking forward to working with him.”
Livett played alongside Red Devils stand-off Kevin Brown in the 2018 Challenge Cup Final as the Wolves were beaten by the Catalan Dragons at Wembley, and he also has played alongside Chris Atkin, whom he linked up with during his time at Hull KR and on England knights duty.
New coach Richard Marshall is also looking forward to working with Livett.
He said: “I have known Harvey since he was coming through the academy at Warrington.
“He’s an exciting, energetic player, who adds another dimension to our team.
“He has a lot of Super League experience for a player so young, but is still determined to continue his development.”
The new Super League season starts on March 11.
