The fine art student, who has built up quite a following on the Channel 4 show, is in her final year at university.

With a love for art since a very young age, noticed by her mother, Helena states: “I was a very early vandal. I would always draw all over the walls and in her cookbooks. It’s always been a compulsion since then, I guess.”
She has taken over one of the Box on the Docks at MediaCity originally erected to allow for socially-distanced dining pre lockdown. It seems like the perfect opportunity for her to display her love for art. Her aim with the design was to make some sort of disco party vibe. “Because I think we all need to let loose a bit after this year,” she said.
Helena was very keen to design a box as part of the pods’ winter transformation.
She said: “I loved what the project was about. Being from here I have pride in Salford and its people, there are so many creatives.”
“The design was trying to reflect the people of Salford, genuinely kind, colourful and sociable.”

The writing above the door is the motto of the city in Latin. It means the welfare of the people is the highest order.
‘Box on the Docks’, situated at MediaCityUK, was created to support the hospitality industry as a way to socially distance in a unique ‘dining pod’ which can host up to 6 people.
In the summer they proved to be very popular and people travelled to Media City to see them.
‘Box on the Docks’ gives creatives from Manchester and Greater Manchester the opportunity to showcase their talent and make Salford Quays even more colourful and exciting.
You can now go and see the new updated versions of the dining pods for winter, with the hope that soon they can fulfill their potential and host people once again.
