With the national lockdown finally over, places at Media City are starting to open their doors once more.
Although Salford is in tier three for the foreseeable future, MediaCity still has lots to offer from takeaway food and drink to Christmas shopping at the Lowry Outlet.
Quayside MediaCityUK (The Lowry Outlet)
Quayside MediaCityUK offers discounts of up to 70% off and it is the only outlet shopping mall in Manchester.
The mall contains over 90 stores, from clothes to health and beauty products – there is something for everyone.
Some of the shops include: Clarks, Holland & Barret, M&S Outlet and The Body Shop
Food & drink
Media City has a long list of food and drink options available, however, tier 3 does mean they are only open for takeout at the time being.
The Quays is full of scenic spots for people to sit and enjoy a warm drink from the likes of Costa or Pret or pick up a Nandos and Wagamama’s.
Inside the outlet, there are also a handful of fast-food chains such as Burger King, Subway, and Chicken Cottage.
When bars reopen again, there are a handful of options available at Media City including the Alchemist and the Botanist.
The Lowry
The building is now closed until December 17, but they are working tirelessly to ensure a safe return to the theatre when the time is right.
They have been granted the use of the Society of London Theatre & UK Theatre’s ‘see it safely’ mark to ensure the safety of their staff and audiences.
Leisure
Again, due to Covid-19 and the tier three restrictions, leisure activities at Media City UK remain closed.
However, once they reopen there are a variety of things to do from going to the cinema to playing on a floodlit all-weather pitch.
In 2021, there is also the unveiling of the long-anticipated I’m A Celebrity Jungle Challenge which contains a mix of tasks and trials based around the iconic Australian Camp.
With a vaccine now on the horizon, hopefully, we can look forward to enjoying what Media City has to offer very soon.
