The current Swindon Town manager and ex-Man United player Richie Wellens is now leading the bookies as the next Salford City manager.
The Ammies have been without a manager since the sacking of Graham Alexander last month.
Since then club co-owner Paul Scholes has been acting as a temporary manager for the League 2 club with help from Warren Joyce.
Initially, when Alexander left, Joyce was the favorite to take up the management role.
Other names that were tipped to take charge were the likes of ex-Man United captain Roy Kean and ex Huddersfield Town boss Danny Cowley.
However, recently these names have moved down the pecking order with new names emerging including Ex-Wigan Athletic boss Paul Cook and former Barnsley manager Daniel Stendal.
Now though, according to the odds from BetVictor Richie Wellens is now favorite behind Joyce for the job.
Wellens began his playing career at Old Trafford but only played once for them in the League Cup.
From them, he has numerous spells at Blackpool, Leicester City, Ipswich Town, Shrewsbury Town, Doncaster Rovers, and Oldham Athletic.
He spent just under a year as manager at Oldham before leaving after their relegation to League 2 in 2018.
From them, he went to Swindon Town where he led them to the League 2 title last season.
