Salford-based Brew Walks are encouraging people to venture into nature this October and November to clear their heads – whilst having a brew.
The not-for-profit organisation is run by three Salfordians and facilitates people taking a hot drink for a walk in and around Salford, “being present and connecting with nature”.
Brew Walks take place every Friday morning at Lightoaks Park in Salford. The group congregates outside of the park, close to the Tea-osk hut.
According to the organisation, the concept came about as ‘an easy way to get out of the house, stretch their legs, and rest their minds.’
However, due to Covid-19, the group has had to limit the number of participants to six, including a group leader.
Alternatively, they have also enabled people to participate from the comfort of your own home via a Zoom call.

This quirky idea was created during lock-down by directors, Emily Brinnand and Natalie and Steve Rossiter.
However, only recently has this Salford-based group opened up to other Salfordians.

As well as being a non-profit organisation, they rely on public funding and Salford City Council Grants.
The group uses eco-friendly and reusable cups for their engaging excursions.
This team of committed coffee drinkers encourages potential participants to pay online via Eventbrite.
They invite walkers to pay what they can afford on group walks, with donations starting at £1.
