The Spirit of Salford Community Awards is designed to ‘pay tribute to people and public services’ that have made a difference in Salford.
These awards help elevate the spirit of the city despite the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic
There are ten different categories for the award including Citizen of the Year, Young Person of the Year, Public Servant of the Year, Best Environmental Improvement, and Best Community Safety Project.

Nominations for the awards close on the 20th of November 2020 and the finalists will then be announced on the 18th December 2020. The public vote then opens on the 18th of December 2020, closing on the 19th of February 2021.
Last year the awards saw Walkden Community, Angela Harris, Youth Unity, Start Inspiring Minds and Salford Dadz become Salford Hero finalists.
The awards will take place on the 4th March 2021 where the winners of each category will be announced.
