As the Premier League transfer deadline day finished last night and the domestic deadline approaching, here at Salford Now we thought we would bring you up to speed with all of Salford City’s business so far.
It has been another busy transfer window with 8 new arrivals and 14 departures. The Ammies will be striving to finish higher than their mid table finish last season and possibly push for a play off place.
Stand-out signings include striker Ian Henderson from Rochdale, defender Tom Clarke from championship side Preston and Czech Republic Goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky these new signings will provide the team with a vast amount experience as well as quality in the defense and attack.
In addition to experience being added to the team, a number of younger players notably goalkeeper Nick Hayes from Norwich and 19 year old fullback Kevin Berkoe from Oxford United have been brought in and will hopefully grow and develop within the team.
With fresh players being added to the team, a number of current players have left the club including winger Craig Conwy, midfielder Danny Whitehead and full back Dan Jones who has gone out on loan to Wigan Athletic.
