Football is almost back for Salford City and whilst fans may not be allowed back into stadiums to see their team straight away, they can start to plan which games pick their fancy for the upcoming season, following the 2020/21 SkyBet League Two fixture release.
Salford open their second season in League Two at home, as Exeter visit the Peninsula Stadium on Saturday 12th September, followed by their first away day to Grimsby Town on 19th September.
The most obvious games of interest for Salford fans this season will be the matches against Bolton Wanderers – following Bolton’s relegation from SkyBet League One.
The meeting on 14th November at the University of Bolton Stadium will be the first-ever meeting between the fellow Greater Manchester sides.

Harrogate Town is the sole promoted side from the National League and they will host Salford for the first time since 2018 (when the sides met in the Conference Premiership) on 19th December.
One of the other standout fixtures for Salford on their return to football is against local rivals Oldham at home on 31st October, with the reverse fixture in January.
With the fixtures announced and a tough opening game to last season’s Play-Off Finalists Exeter, Graham Alexander can finally start to prepare for the busy schedule ahead.
