Police are appealing for information after a short police pursuit on Sunday the 26th of April led to a car collision on Regent Road at the junction with Oldfield Avenue.
The crash, which occurred shortly before 10:30pm, led to the driver of a Vauxhall Astra being hospitalised.
The 27-year-old man was seen to be driving erratically by onlooking officers and failed to stop when requested, which led to a short police pursuit and eventually a collision with a Toyota Rav 4.
No arrests have been made, but PC Phillip Shaw said: “Our investigation is ongoing and I appeal to anyone with information or dash cam footage from the surrounding area at the time of the collision or in the minutes before to get in touch with us.”
He continued: “This collision could have resulted in even more serious consequences. Thankfully, the injured man is in a stable condition and no-one else was injured.”
