Salford City FC are supporting The EFL and The EFL Trust’s ‘FIT FANS’ campaign to encourage supporters to get active in their homes during lockdown.
The programme is in aid of Sport England’s ‘Stay in Work Out’ campaign which will provide fans with a safe way to exercise in the current climate.
Given that numerous other clubs across the football league will be involved, it poses the question as to just how many the Ammies faithful can join in with the sessions and contribute towards having the most active fans?
The EFL and EFL Trust are launching #FITFANS so football fans are able to get active safely in their homes! 🏡
The fitness sessions will be released each week on the EFL and EFL Trust YouTube channels! 📺

Over the next 12 weeks, the sessions will be lead by two fitness coaches and they will be released each week at 5pm on a Wednesday and 11am on a Saturday on The EFL’s Youtube channel to enable Salford City fans to stay fit and healthy in their own homes.
Salford have previously streamed a Yoga session on their Youtube channel in the past month with Sheila McVitty, the club’s Yoga & Mindfulness instructor. To build on that the ‘FIT FANS’ sessions create a structured exercise routine to start and maintain activity at home.
The exercises will involve safe warm-ups and cool-downs, gradually increasing activity levels before moving onto aerobic strength and training sessions.
They are set to be fun activities that you can do on your own or with members of your household to stay active and improve fitness in the safety of your own home.
