12 months ago today the sun was shining, the skies were blue, it was 22 degrees and we were sat in beer gardens all over the UK with a glass (or bottle) of wine making the very most of this lush weather.
Compare that to today, sitting inside looking out at the frosty cold, knowing you’ve got to go out in it at some point.
But that’s not all, a memory comes up on Facebook from two years ago today to remind us of another sort of weather that may still be preferable over this: snow.
Snow might not be your favourite type of weather, but it does have its perks, in comparison to the current climate we are experiencing:
- School closes because you can’t get to/from it safely
- Snow ball fights
- Days off because you can’t get to work
It’s that simple.
With the weather this weekend due to be raining cats and dogs, with highs of 12 degrees, why not take the time to cosy up at home and catch up on that TV series you’ve been meaning to watch?
Met Office forecaster Marco Petagna said: “It’s going from bad to worse, with more rain topping up rivers.
“The weather is in no hurry to leap into spring.”
Forecasters are even predicting March will see more storms across the UK.
And more rain is forecast for this week, continuing the conditions seen for most of February.
