Storm Dennis caused considerable damage in Salford last week when it destroyed a bridge crossing the River Irwell in Salford.
Persistent and heavy rain caused water levels to rise breaking the rivers banks.
Local residents were advised to mind their belongings and check on their neighbours.
A busy week lies ahead for our Quays litter boat after Storm Ciara yesterday (pictured in action previously). Five rivers empty into the Quays so every storm brings any debris in those rivers down to us. We're on the case and aiming to get it cleared up asap. pic.twitter.com/ae9twpgJu8

Salford was placed at risk of flooding by the Environment Agency following Storm Ciara, however the city’s brand new £10m flood defenses managed to hold strong and the warning was later removed.
Following the storm a large bed of debris washed up in front of the Alchemist bar on the quays in MediaCityUK, forcing the council to undertake an extensive cleanup operation, which is still underway.
