Eccles Rugby Football Club is currently recruiting athletes of all abilities, genders and ages.
However, the club has put an emphasis on the female athletes who may be looking to join a local rugby team.
The club already has an existing female team, Eccles Ladies.
The team is the premier women’s rugby team in Greater Manchester and has been a part of the Eccles RFC group for over twenty years.
Last season, the team held onto their position in Championship 1 North, the second tier of women’s rugby in England.

Eight of Eccles Ladies’ players were selected for Lancashire, who went on to win the County Championship last season, with one player being selected to represent Scotland.
The team trains twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, between 19:30 pm and 21:00 pm.
Statistics released by World Rugby revealed that: “In total 2.4 million women and girls are playing rugby at all levels, accounting for more than a quarter of players globally and an increase in player numbers of 60 percent since 2013”
This is a number that Eccles RFC is looking to increase.
