Salford Red Devils have announced their 2020 initiative where fans can contribute money to help fund towards new players.
Last year’s Squad Builder helped bolster the Red Devil’s ranks with the inclusion of Young Player of the Year Joey Lussick.
The hooker, who scored 13 tries in 18 appearances en-route to the Super League Grand Final, was crucial with his ability to play anywhere across the spine.
Salford Red Devils director of rugby and operations Ian Blease said on the Red Devils website: “we’re really grateful for the contribution from our Squad Builders towards this year’s team.
“Joey was a vital part of the squad which helped us reach the Grand Final and fittingly, he developed a strong bond with our supporters.
“Without the generosity of our Squad Builders, last season’s dramatic play-off campaign would not have been possible.
“We ask all supporters to get behind the initiative ahead of our 2020 campaign, while Coach Watson and myself are assembling the side for next season.
“We want to continue to compete with the other elite sides in the Super League and for that we need the backing of our whole support base.”
The club have announced there will be three different memberships within the Squad Builder initiative, with prices ranging from £500 for gold, £250 for silver and £100 for bronze. The membership can be paid for in monthly installments or in one lump sum.
The membership is completely optional, with each tier getting different perks ranging from receiving a ticket to the 2020 end of season awards ceremony, discounts on the club’s subscription service and other discounts with the clubs partners and outlets.
Salford Red Devils will be hoping the initiative can help them build on a fairy tale 2019 season. Despite having lost Jackson Hastings, the club have made several additions including Welsh internationals Rhys Williams and Elliott Kear, World Cup finalist Kevin Brown and returning academy graduate Ryan Lannon.
