Yesterday, Andy Whyment from Clifton, Salford, entered Ol’ Dingo Town and survival reality show “I’m a Celebrity…Get me out of here!”.
The actor, known for portraying Kirk Sutherland in Coronation Street, came into the program together with actor Cliff Parisi on Day 5 in the season, after weeks of speculation about if he was going to participate in the program. The latest season of the show started on Sunday 17th November.
Before they could enter the camp and join the other contestants, they had to go through a Bushtucker trial, where they were going to search through fish guts, creatures and slimes to find stars which would earn them food. The duo ended up with eight stars. Being asked about their first experience in the show, the duo revealed they were happy with eight stars, and Whyment said: “I think the camp will eat well, so I’m alright with that.”
Whyment soon became a popular figure among the shows viewers on Twitter.
Andy Whyment during that Bushtucker Trial is the funniest thing I've seen in an age. #ImACeleb
